St. Josephs RC Primary, Tredegar, visit Cenin Renewables
On the 15th of May 2019, Cenin were delighted to host years 3,4,5 and 6 of St. Joseph’s Royal Catholic Primary School from Tredegar. On their visit to Parc Stormy, they children learned about energy positive housing, energy saving at home, how their food waste is converted into electricity in the Anaerobic Digestion plant, battery storage, how solar power and wind power are generated, what it’s like to go inside a wind turbine, the history of the site as an airfield, and how waste minerals can be reused to make low carbon cement. The weather was warm and sunny and the children really enjoyed their visit, asking many intelligent questions.
Thank you Cenin Renewables for a fab day – we learnt so much about renewable energy. We can’t wait to get back to the classroom to find out more #ambitiouscapable #ethicalinformed @CeninRenewables @TredegarTC @BHHSICT pic.twitter.com/qoziHiDsu5
