Wales’ 100% renewable energy challenge
Policy experts, The Institute of Welsh Affairs (IWA), have set out an ambitious new plan that Wales could meet 100% of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2035. They urge the Welsh Government to increase the budget for green energy initiatives and predict 20,150 jobs could be created each year.
Shea Buckland-Jones, Re-energising Wales Project Coordinator stated
“By moving to 100% renewables in Wales we can increase energy security, reduce fuel poverty and tackle climate change.”
